A message from the Chairman
of the Board -
When we were creating this web site about Life and
Hope Association, the concepts of what message should
we send, and how should the organization be portrayed,
became the primary questions. After much discussion
about structure and charts and colors, we came to a
fundamental conclusion:
This site is about children that are living off of
garbage piles. Children forced to beg and live in the
streets because of extreme poverty. Children that are
rejected and discriminated against by society, not
allowed to attend any kind of school, constantly fighting
disease and parasites, and then, are given, literally
a new life and hope for the future by this organization.
It is about how completely and profoundly these children
appreciate the fact that someone cares about them and
how their lives will change from falling victim to
starvation, disease, drugs, prostitution and premature
death, to lives filled with possibility, education,
and promise.
It takes $9 to send one child
to school with a uniform, backpack and supplies . .
. for one year! If you want
to feed them for that year as well, it is $72! That
is .20 cents a day to change someone's life.
Please
consider sponsoring a child with Life and Hope Association.
